Approved: 8-03-00 Expires: 12-31-00 SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF DIRECTIVES Effective immediately the following directives are canceled: • DOE N 471.1, EXTENSION OF DOE O 471.1, IDENTIFICATION AND PROTECTION OF UNCLASSIFIED CONTROLLED NUCLEAR INFORMATION , dated 09-02-99. • DOE N 473.2, STANDARDIZATION OF FIREARMS, dated 03-02-00. • DOE N 473.3, STANDARDIZATION OF CHEMICAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTIVE FORCES AND SPECIAL AGENTS, dated 03-29-00. These cancellation actions are a result of the publication of DOE O 471.1A and M 471.1-1, IDENTIFICATION AND PROTECTION OF UNCLASSIFIED CONTROLLED NUCLEAR INFORMATION, dated 6-30-00, and DOE O 473.2 and M 473.2-2, PROTECTIVE FORCES PROGRAM, dated 6-30-00. The cancellation of these directives does not relieve the Department or its contractors from complying with the applicable Federal laws and regulations pertaining to the canceled directives.
