Special Nuclear Material(s) (SNM)

For this Order are defined as plutonium, uranium-233, uranium enriched in the isotope 235, and any other material which, pursuant to 42U.S.C. 2071, Determination of Other Material as Special Nuclear Material (Section 51, as amended, of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954), has been determined to be special nuclear material, but does not include source material; it also includes any material artificially enriched by any of the foregoing, not including source material. These materials are listed in Attachment 2, Chapter I, Table I, Special Nuclear Materials.

As defined in 10 CFR Part 810, Assistance to Foreign Atomic Energy Activities, Plutonium, Uranium-233, or Uranium enriched above 0.711 percent by weight in the isotope Uranium-235.
