Onsite

Property or location that is DOE/NNSA or DOE/NNSA contractor-owned, leased, or otherwise directly controlled by DOE, including NNSA.

Any area within the contiguous (i.e., touching, unbroken, continuous) boundaries of a DOE site or facility to which public access is controlled or restricted. Where a public road or railroad track traverses a contiguous DOE site or facility, the area may be temporarily considered and treated as onsite for the purposes of transportation only during such time that public access to the area is effectively restricted by signals, lights, gates, guards, or similar controls.

Any area within the boundaries of a DOE site or facility to which access is controlled.
