Controlled Access Vehicle Bridge

A structure including supports erected over a depression or an obstruction, such as water, a highway, or a railway, having a passageway for carrying traffic or other moving loads, and a Structure Length of more than 20 feet (6.1 meters). A traveler must pass through a staffed entry point and present identification to traverse this structure. These structures are not included in the National Bridge Inventory.
