SUBJECT: SECRETARIAL SUCCESSION
1. PURPOSE. To establish the Secretarial line of succession in the Department of Energy.
2. LINE OF SUCCESSION. The following officials, in the order indicated, shall act as
Secretary of Energy, in the event of the absence or disability of the Secretary, until the
absence or disability ceases, or in the case of a vacancy, until a successor is appointed.
