DELEGATION ORDER NO. 0204-142
TO THE INSPECTOR GENERAL
1. DELEGATION. Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy and by
sections 201 and 642, Department of Energy Organization Act (P.L. 95-91; 42 U.S.C.
sections 7131, 7252), there is hereby delegated to the Inspector General authority to:
a. Develop a pay system and written pay procedures for Senior-Level (SL) positions
classified above GS-15 in the Office of the Inspector General, subject to the
provisions of the Federal Employees Pay Comparability Act of 1990 (Pub. L. 101-
509, section 529, et seq.), Executive Order 12748 of February 1, 1991, and
implementing regulations issued by the Office of Personnel Management.
b. Set pay for incumbents of individual SL positions in accordance with the
established pay procedures.
c. Approve the qualifications of appointees to SL positions.
2. RESCISSION. None.
3. LIMITATION. Nothing in this order shall preclude the Secretary from exercising any of
the authority so delegated whenever in the Secretary's judgment exercise of such authority
is necessary or appropriate to administer the functions vested in the Secretary.
4. AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE. The authority hereby delegated to the Inspector
General may be delegated further, in whole or in part, as the Inspector General may
determine to be appropriate.
5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This order is effective March 3, 1992.
