DESIGNATION ORDER NO. 00-05.00
TO DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION
1. DESIGNATION. Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy and by
section 642 of the Department of Energy Organization Act (Pub. L. 95-91), you are hereby
designated to be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an Occupant
Emergency Plan, as required by 41 C.F.R. 101-20.103-4, for all the Department’s Headquarters
Buildings.
2. LIMITATION. This designation covers all parts of the Department of Energy, except
the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
3. AUTHORITY TO REDESIGNATE. This authority may not be redesignated.
4. DURATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
4.1 All actions pursuant to any authority provided prior to this Order or pursuant to
any authority granted by this Order taken prior to and in effect on the date of this Order are
ratified and remain in force as if taken under this Order, unless or until rescinded, amended or
superseded.
4.2 A copy of this Order shall be provided to the Office of Management and
Operations Support within the Office of Management, Budget and Evaluation.
4.3 This order is effective April 30, 2002.
