The Department encourages a
questioning attitude by all
employees and a work
environment that fosters such
attitude.
Organizations foster that culture
by leadership commitment and
behaviors consistent with those
values; establishing a safety
conscious work environment in
which employees feel free to
raise safety concerns to
management without fear of
retaliation; prioritizing concerns
based on safety significance;
addressing and resolving those
concerns in a manner that
provides transparency; and
supporting a questioning
attitude concerning safety by all
employees.
