A scheduled nonemergency activity (e.g., weather event, demonstration, change in normal operations, etc.). The Incident Command System can be used as the management system for a wide range of events, e.g., parades, concerts, or sporting events.

Something significant and real-time that happens (e.g., pipe break, valve failure, loss of power, environmental spill, earthquake, tornado, flood, injury).
