This memorandum serves to delegate to you authority to act as the Office of Environmental Management (EM) Headquarters Approving Official for all Department of Energy (DOE) "Authorized Limits" in accordance with DOE Order (0) 5400.5, "Radiation Protection of the Public and the Environment.'' Specific responsibilities for this delegation are the approval of authorized limits for radiological release of real property pursuant to Section S(a) of DOE 0 5400.5, Chap~r IV and the approval of"Supplemental Limits" for the radiological release of real property pursuant to Section 7 of DOE 0 5400.5, Chapter IV. This delegation of authority does not expire until it is withdrawn. It supersedes a previous delegation dated October 23,.2006, to then Deputy Assistant Secretary for Engineering and Technology ..
