TURNBULL I | | J ] vudpel | CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER, ACTING SUBJECT: DIRECTIVES CERTIFICATION STATEMENT DOE P 205.1, Departmental Cyber Security Management Policy, dated 05-08-01, has been reviewed by my organization and deemed to be in compliance with related Departmental Directives, Secretarial Delegations, organizational structure, budget guidelines, regulations, standards, Office of Management and Budget guidance, relevant memoranda of understanding and public laws. In addition, this directive is not found to cause undue burden (i.e., significant cost impacts, overly prescriptive, redundancy, or excessive reporting requirements) on Departmental elements and contractors. DOE O 205.1B, Cyber Security Management, has been revised and is currently in the Directives RevCom process for Departmental review. Once that revision is final, this policy will be submitted to the Directives Review Board for cancellation. Until that time, this policy is needed to provide high-level guidance on cyber security management for the Department. I certify that this directive is accurate and continues to be relevant and appropriate for use by the Department.
