SUBJECT: EXTENSION OF DOE N 456.1, THE SAFE HANDLING OF UNBOUND
ENGINEERED NANOPARTICLES
Effective immediately, DOE N 456.1, The Safe Handling of Unbound Engineered Nanoparticles,
dated 1-15-09, is extended to 4-19-11, or until superseded.
The requirements of DOE N 456.1 will be incorporated into an Order or included in amendments to
10 CFR Part 851, “Worker Safety and Health Program,” at a later date.
