Approved: 1-17-07 Expires: 7-17-07 SUBJECT: CANCELLATION OF DIRECTIVE Effective immediately, DOE 5480.4, Environmental Protection, Safety and Health Protection Standards, dated 5-15-84, is canceled. With the promulgation of 10 CFR 851 “Worker Safety and Health Program,” the outdated standards in this Order have become obsolete. All of the requirements and responsibilities in the Order are either covered by other rules or DOE directives or are no longer applicable. Cancellation of this directive does not relieve the Department or its contractors from complying with applicable Federal laws and regulations pertaining to the canceled directive.
