SUBJECT: Delegation of Programs Authorized by Sections 40106 and
40125(d) of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA),
Public Law 117-58, signed November 15, 2021; and Section
1306 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (42
U.S.C. 17386), as amended by section 40107 of the IIJA
Under the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy and pursuant to section 642 of
the Department of Energy Organization Act (Public Law 95-91, 42 U.S.C. 7252), I
delegate to the Under Secretary for Infrastructure, the Principal Deputy Under Secretary
for Infrastructure, and the Director, Grid Deployment Office, authority to take the
following actions:
1. Administer the Deployment of Technologies to Enhance Grid Flexibility program,
as authorized under Section 1306 of the Energy Independence and Security Act of
2007 (42 U.S.C. 17386), as amended by section 40107 of the IIJA.
2. Administer the Transmission Facilitation Program, as authorized under Section
40106 of the IIJA (42 U.S.C. 18713).
3. Administer the Modeling and Assessing Energy Infrastructure Risk Program, as
authorized under Section 40125(d) of the IIJA (42 U.S.C. 18724(d)).
These authorities may be redelegated as appropriate.
