SUBJECT: Delegation of Authority for Preventing Outages and Enhancing
the Resilience of the Electric Grid Program, authorized by
Section 40101 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act
(IIJA), Public Law 117-58, signed November 15, 2021
Section 40101 of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and codified at 42
U.S.C. 18711, establishes a program for “Preventing Outages and Enhancing the
Resilience of the Electric Grid.”
I hereby delegate to the Under Secretary for Infrastructure, the Principal Deputy Under
Secretary for Infrastructure, and the Director, Grid Deployment Office, authority to take
the following actions:
1. Administer the Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric
Grid program under section 40101 of the IIJA, including sponsoring the issuance
of an Administrative and Legal Requirements Document (ALRD) and a
competitive Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).
The authority may be redelegated as appropriate.
