The Administrator, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), has delegated
authority for Defense Nuclear Security Program matters to the Associate Administrator
for Defense Nuclear Security. The Associate Administrator serves as the cognizant
security authority responsible for the overall direction and management of security
programs for NNSA facilities. The Associate Administrator also serves as the Chief.
Defense Nuclear Security, (ref. 4, sec. 3232).

The previously delegated fireanns and arrest authority issued by the Acting Chief.
Defense Nuclear Security is hereby rescinded.
I hereby delegate authority to you in authorizing NNSA Federal employees, and NNSA
contractor employees, under your cognizance, to carry fireanns and make arrests
without warrant in accordance with section 16lk ofthc Atomic Energy Act of 1954. as
amended. and Title l 0 CFR Part I 047. Further delegation by you of this authority will
be limited to NNSA Federal employees.
Copies of any further delegations of this authority shall be provided to the Office of
Defense Nuclear Security (NA-70).
