DELEGATION ORDER NO. 0204-11
TO THE DEPUTY SECRETARY
Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy (“Secretary”) and by Section 642 of
the Department of Energy Organization Act (Pub. L. 95-91), there is hereby delegated to the
Deputy Secretary, in the event of the absence or disability of, or a vacancy in the office of, the
Under Secretary, the authority to initiate condemnation proceedings and execute declarations of
taking, all correspondence and other documents in connection with such proceedings, and take all
other necessary and appropriate actions to acquire, in connection with the government's power of
eminent domain, real or personal property or interests therein for the Department of Energy.
The authority hereby delegated to the Deputy Secretary to initiate condemnation proceedings and
execute declarations of taking shall not be further delegated.
In exercising the authority delegated by this Order, the delegate shall be governed by the rules and
regulations of the Department of Energy and the policies and procedures prescribed by the
Secretary.
All actions pursuant to any authority delegated prior to this Order or pursuant to any authority
delegated by this Order taken prior to and in effect on the date of this Order are hereby confirmed
and ratified, and shall remain in full force and effect as if taken under this Order, unless or until
rescinded, amended or superseded.
This Order is effective November 7, 1977.
