0204-172, Delegation Order No. 0204-172 to the Deputy Secretary

DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY DELEGATION ORDER NO. 0204-172 TO THE DEPUTY SECRETARY Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy and by Sections 301(b), 302(a), 641, 642, 643, and 644 of the Department of Energy Organization Act (Pub. L. 95-91), there is hereby delegated to the Deputy Secretary of Energy, on a nonexclusive basis, the authority to confirm, approve, and place into effect on an interim basis, power and transmission rates for the Southeastern, Southwestern, and Western Area Power Administrations for such periods as the Deputy Secretary may provide. This Delegation reinstates the authority delegated to the Deputy Secretary in Amendment No. 3 to Delegation Order 0204-108, which authority was rescinded in my Order of April 15, 1999. I further affirm the authority of the Deputy Secretary, as Chief Operating Officer, to exercise authority vested in me with respect to management and oversight of the Power Marketing Administrations, including the Bonneville Power Administration.
