DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY DELEGATION ORDER NO. 0204-156 TO DESIGNATED OFFICIALS WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT 1. DELEGATION. Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy by the President in section 1.4 of Executive Order 12958, entitled “Classified National Security Information,” the authority to originally classify information as Top Secret, Secret, and Confidential is hereby delegated to the officials occupying the positions below (or, in their absence, those acting in their stead): Director, Office of Security Affairs Director, Office of Declassification Director, Office of Safeguards and Security Director, Office of Naval Reactors Deputy Assistant Secretary for Research and Development Deputy. Assistant Secretary for Military Applications and Stockpile Support 2. AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE. The authority delegated by this Order may not be further delegated, with the exception of the authority to classify information originally as Secret or Confidential which may be delegated by the Director, Office of Declassification, consistent with the terms of Executive Order 12958. 3. DURATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE. a. All actions pursuant to any authority delegated prior to this Order or pursuant to any authority delegated by this Order taken prior to and in effect on the date of this Order are hereby confirmed and ratified, and shall remain in full force and effect as if taken under this Order, unless or until rescinded, amended, or superseded. b.
