DELEGATION ORDER NO. 0204-116
TO THE DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF CIVILIAN
RADIOACTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT
Pursuant to the authority vested in me as Secretary of Energy (“Secretary”) and by Section 642 of
the Department of Energy Organization Act (Pub. L. No. 95-91), there is hereby delegated to the
Director, Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste Management (OCRWM) authority to sign all
documents and take such other actions as may be necessary and appropriate for the submission
for publication to the Federal Register of notices concerning actions undertaken to implement the
authorities and functions provided in the Nuclear Waste Policy Act of 1982 (Pub. L. No. 97-425).
The authority delegated does not include rulemaking authority.
The authority delegated by this Order to sign notices may be further delegated by the Director of
OCRWM.
In exercising the authority delegated by this Order, the delegate shall be governed by the rules and
regulations of DOE and the policies and procedures prescribed by the Secretary or his delegate.
Nothing in this Order shall preclude the Secretary from exercising any of the authority so
delegated whenever, in his judgment, his exercising of such authority is necessary or appropriate
to administer the functions vested in him.
This Order rescinds the delegation order to the Project Director of the Nuclear Waste Policy Act
Office dated June 3, 1983.
This Order is effective March 4, 1986
