008.21, Redelegation of Authority No. 00-008.21 to the Director of the Office of Financial Policy

DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY REDELEGATION OF AUTHORITY TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL POLICY 1. DELEGATION. Pursuant to Secretary of Energy Delegation provided to me under Delegation Order 00-008.00A, I delegate to the Director, Office of Financial Policy, authority to waive claims arising out of erroneous payment of pay or allowances or travel, transportation, or relocation allowances as provided in 5 U.S.C. 5584. 2. LIMITATION. 3. 2.1 In exercising the authorities redelegated in this Order, a delegate shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the Department of Energy and the policies and procedures prescribed by the Secretary or delegate(s). 2.2 Nothing in this Order precludes the Secretary or the Chief Financial Officer from exercising any of the authority redelegated by this Order. 2.3 Nothing in this Order shall be construed to supersede or otherwise interfere with the authorities provided to the Administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration by law or by delegation. Furthermore, nothing herein constitutes authority to exercise authority, direction, or control of an employee of the National Nuclear Security Administration or its contractors. At the same time, nothing herein constrains the Chief Financial Officer's authority under the Chief Financial Officers Act of 1990 to provide policy guidance and oversight of the Department's financial management personnel, activities, and operations. 2.4 Any amendments to this Order shall be in consultation with the Department of Energy General Counsel. AUTHORITY TO REDELEGATE. This authority may not be redelegated. No. 00-008.21 4.
